Here is an official challenge for people out there. How many times can you eat at saiZeria (A Japanese restaurant chain that provides pasta/peetza/doria/hamburger steak/salad for a cheap ass price) within a day? Can you top what Christine and I did last night? We meet up at saiZeria and ate peetza!, a tomato/cheese ball thing with drink bar, then hung out in Ueno and came back to the same saiZeria, ate in the same spot, ordered the same food but added bread and pistachio icecream and even saw the same serving dude there, all within a 5 hr period! Top that! I am officially sick of saiZeria and will not go there until next year.
Oh, another thing, the official pronunciation of saizeria, is sai-Zeria not saiz-eria as in pizzeria. How did I come to this conclusion… I asked the natives, the native Japanese people and its the way they pronounce the name. Just like in NYC where we pronounce Houston St more like House-ton. If you call it Houston St, people look at you like you are a moron.
Okay, so the challenge is on. So to saiZeria and beat 2x at the same location, ordering the same food and seeing the same serving dude. ahahahahahah

I forgot what a great movie, The Karate Kid part II (AKA The Karate Kid goes to Okinawa and punches someone in the nuts) is… It really made me happy to know that I know more Japanese than Daniel LaRusso. teehee.
I havent watched this movie since my childhood and I found the following things annoying: Whats with the Japanese accents everyone has? WTF?!! Does everyone learn English at the same school? Also, Whats with the overly dramatic scenes like the tea ceremony, ahahaha and everything dealing with honor. OMG, soooooo stereotypical. And Daniel wearing sneakers inside the house. WTF?!! Thats just crazy.
I did find somethings that were awesome such as: The 80s clothing everyone was wearing. Watching Daniel punch the dudes nephew in the nuts. Mr. Miyagi kicking game. How everyone speaks English. The OBon Odori. The storm scene with the little girl stuck on the ladder banging the warning gong.
My favorite quotes in the movie:
Mr. Miyagi: You weew distroy hoe veellage?
Sato: No! You weew! (really serious look on his face) ahaha
Mr. Miyagi: I got bebe!
Daniel: Oh no, Sato’s in there. What do I do?
Mr. Miyagi: You take bebe! (bebe, ahahahaa)
Sato: Yue are lohwa dan salt! (salt?)
You have to hear the accents, awesomeness!
I want to learn the OBon Odori and dance in Asakusa next summer, that would be soooo cool!
This movie is awesome.

Hey everybody, Happy b-lated Thanksgiving! I have been busy doing a lot of things this month and its only going to get more busy as winter vacation approaches. To recap what I have been doing, I went to this day event at aGeha in Shin Kiba with my roommate and met some of his friends. This was… I think 2 weeks ago on Sunday. There was this skateboard/bmx/beatbox/dance and music show at aGeha that started at 1pm and ended who know when. That night was very interesting because of the eclectic mix of performances. It was more like a variety show than anything else and what made it more awesome was that it only cost 500 yen!!! Oh yeah, with a drink!!! wuHT??!!
Then there was Turkey Day… Not very popular in Japan because they dont know anything about Squanto and the Pilgrims but they turned Thanksgiving into a Labor Holiday so I was happy. Liza organized an old fashioned Turkey dinner at this place called Sonoma in Shibuya. All I have to say is mashed taters! Amuricah! Where do you find mashed potatoes in Japan? Cranberry sauce! Amuricah! Unfortunately it was the fresh out of the jar kind of cranberry sauce and not the cranberry like substance in the can. =( Also there was stuffing, pumpkin pie and green beans. No flakey biscuits but I was still happy. I miss the good ole roast beef that is usually made at my family’s Thanksgiving dinner and those oh so good flakey dinner rolls. mmm-mmm- MMM! Thats some good eatin! After dinner, went to an Irish pub and on to gasPan!c. ahahhahaha, yes thats right, Christine and I went to gasPan!c. And true to the hype it was a cheap and ghetto time. Christine and I just wanted to dance off the turkey dinner, instead of going to karaoke with everyone else.
Ginza Saturday… Who party’s in Ginza anyway? Seriously?!! Well, I went to a party that Jesse invited me too. I haven’t hung out with Jesse since the split from Tomioka. It was good to hang out with Jesse again. The crowd at this place was older and stiffer to say the least. The place was nice but the crowd was booooorrriing. I had to shake things up because people don’t know how to party…. The only problem was… I cant speak Japanese and most of the crowd’s English ability was low but I managed. Of all the beautiful women that I talked to that night, the only one that really caught my eye was Midori. M-M-good! I spent the following day with her and the rest will be saved for another post. ehheeh =P
