The start of the holiday season… =’(

Hey yall, the start of the holiday season is getting me a bit down. Even though I am having fun here, I do miss people back home. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only times my family gets together and this will be the first year that I miss all the celebrations. I miss flakey biscuits and gravy, stuffing, hot roast beef, turkey, macaroni and cheese, pecan pie and just being around people who matter to me. Even though I dont show it all the time, I really do care about my family and friends. At least, I realize and truly appreciate my family and friends now that I am away. But I must think positive and right now, what keeps me motivated is when I do come back home for a visit! OMG, you know NYC will see the second coming of Derek! I am tweeking my personality/thinking and when I do come back to visit, I will be a bigger force to be reckoned with. Thanks to everyone for keeping in touch with me and telling whats up back at home. Hi, mom, dad and Darren, I am doing well, I miss you all.

[ Life.Iz.Good ]                          but its even better with family and friends

Crazy how testing your limits challenges who you thought you already were huh?..but we all know you’re having an experience of a lifetime and when you’re ready, you’ll be back in NYC with a vengeance..lol well more like new and improved! And I’m sure you’ll be missed during the holidays too, but you know that you’re in our thoughts and we’re always sending you our best wishes. Sorry for sounding like a card..=P Make the most of the holidays and have one helluva time (as we know you will)..and hopefully we’ll see you soon enough! ^.^
