The Noisey One…

My rooommate Kiyo is a small girl but she makes a helluva lot of noise. This bitch lives right above me and is a shut-in. She effing wakes me up all the time. Sometimes it sounds like there are squirrels in the ceiling, other times it sounds like she’s building furniture, other times it sounds like there is a toddler stomping about upstairs. I have told her time and time again that she needs to shut the fuck up and the other day out of rage I threw my pillow against the ceiling of my roof like a maniac. It was hilarious and I released some stress but I don’t want to be THAT roommate, you know the one, the grumpy one with sensitive ears but she really makes a lot of noise. I can tolerate noise during reasonable hours but this bitch never sleeps… She’s fumbling about at 2am and 6am. She’s becoming a problem.

Besides the annoying cunt directly above me, this season is effing great. The weather is sunny and warm and the cherry blossoms are finishing up their bloom. I look forward to planning my summer in southeast asia and being able to drink outside. Right now there is amazing light coming into my room through the windows which are open and a gentle breeze circulates around the room. I really love spring time in Japan. Too bad the summers are killers.

Nasty Roomate’s Laundry Cleaning Tip #1

Hello everybody, my filthy, nasty, dirty roommate would like to share a cleaning tip with you guys. If you have dirty clothes, you don’t have to wash them! All you have to do is throw your soiled tattered rags in the dryer with a dryer sheet and PRESTO! You have clean clothes. Forget the bacon grease and garlic/butter saturation stains, dryer sheets are your answer.

Friday…

I just got my schedule for my first month and on April 10, I have to go to the Kawasaki Board of Education for something called a Kao wa ase? I don’t know if I have the right spelling but it basically is an introduction to the school that I will be teaching at. I will meet the teachers that I will be working with for the year. My schedule is interesting because I have 3 JHS’ but I will alternate each week at each school. My first week will be interesting.

I have to buy indoor shoes and I work on my introduction to the faculty. With Mina’s help I am working on an all Japanese introduction. I am excited to see how the Japanese school system works.

The worst rommate ever is…

I was reading an article about the 8 bad roommate types and Wendy aka the fat, ugly, disgusting ginger that lives in the house is 8 out of the 8 bad roommate types rolled up in one hideous bacon wrapped garbage ball.

Here are the types:

1. The Deadbeat – never pays bills on time or not at all
2. The Foodstealer – she stole all my butter to make cookies and didn’t restock the fridge
3. The Partyguy – her cookie parties are a lard fest and sometimes for herself
4. The Borrower – borrows things and either loses them or doesn’t return them in good condiiton
5. The Gamer – not really a gamer but talks on the phone a lot with her “keys to a chaulkboard” voice
6. The Couch Potato – house bound and unable to fit through the door – sideways
7. The person who’s girlfriend/boyfriend is always over – not so much the case lately because her lard ass must have been dumped but her other half was over 5 out of 7 days
8. The Slob – never cleans, never showers and is more interested in filling her pie hole

The other girl. Kiyomi is a pig too and makes a lot of noise for such a tiny girl. The only reason why I can put up with it, is because she is hot and her friends are hot. The other guy, Keishi is a good guy but he is never home. I don’t think I would like to be home either because he lives between the two garbage harvesters and Wendy chatters all night on Skype with her other fat, butter eating, lard ass friends. Thank goodness I live on the first floor away from those two.

Birthday Weekend…

Well, my birthday weekend was filled with fun. I spend the weekend with hanging with Mina and my good friend Jeremy and ended the weekend with a Penis festival and Hanami.

My birthday was a great dinner with MIna, where she took me out to eat at this nice izakaya in Omote Sando. The food was delicious and she had her friend, who manages the izakaya, make a tofu tiramisu because I cant eat chocolate. Dinner consisted of Kyoto style cuisine and an assortment of sashimi and other goodies. Mina surprised me with a picture album of our relationship so far. It was a happy day.

The weekend consisted of dinner with some friends and a club afterwards on Saturday night. I was happy to have drinks with old and new friends. Sunday was the Penis festival in Kawasaki Daishi and then Yoyogi Park for Hanami.

A lot of people that I were close to, have already left Japan and the ones that stayed seem to have drifted off to do their own things. I am thankful for meeting and knowing these people and I look forward to what this year will bring. All I know is everything runs its own course and all we can do is enjoy the ride while it lasts. Thanks everyone who wished me a happy birthday.
