Sorry for not posting lately. I will post my summer vacation pics and videos soon. But first, I am going to get my Japanese drivers license and then a Japanese motorcycle license. My ultimate goal is to get a motocycle in Japan. I will get my license translated and then proceed with schedule a driving test from there I will have te ability to drive a car and a 50cc motorbike. I will then proceed to take classes for the mid sized motorcycle license. I am excited at the posibility to rent a car in Japan an go camping whenever I want or go to Costco and buy a 50kg barrel of pickles.

Besides this update, I have been working on my Japanese again and with Mina’s help, I have made some progress. I plan on starting to silk screen my designs on tshirts in the next weeks. I have narrowed my choice down to three silk screen shops but first I will try and see if I can find affordable silk screening materials so I can print th myself. I have been networking a lot in Tokyo and hopefully all the effort with produce fruit in terms of design work an hopefully a new job. All I really need is to get my Japanes ability up. I know I have been saying this for a long time but I am working on it slowly but surely.

I got a call from the Kawasaki BOE yesterday. Apparently, someone at one of my schools is gunning for me. I am being accused of being late and being unfriendly to students which is total horse shit because these are the two things that I make sure are done properly. I always get to work 30 minutes before I have to and attend the morning meeting and also to chat up the students. I am also very popular at all my schools. Students yell from the windows, “Bye Derek” when I leave for crying out loud!

The BOE said I recieved outstanding reviews from the other two schools but this annoying douche at my other school is making things up. I can’t stand lying and scheming.

I know who the teacher is and Mr. Yoshida is a head teacher and is buddy buddy with the vice principle. This all stemmed from an incident during the first couple of months of school when I was tired of his shoddy teaching and took over the lesson and rocked it! I know he feels threatened and wants to eliminate the competition. I know I am not the best teacher but I know I am better than this guy. I believe the only reason he is the head teacher is because he is the vp’s drinking buddy, social promotion at work.

To make matters worse is the fucker said I called a student a gorilla, which is complete and utter BS! What teacher in his right mind would do that?!! Give me some credit. The problem is… I have no power and cannot contest. Oh well, I let my work do the talking and in the end Mr. Yoshida will get what he deserves. Karma baby!

Besides, the drama at work, everything is fine. I am continuing to search for work outside teaching and networking.

I am a still a bit high from vacation but thankfully at the end of this month is a 5 day weekend!

I have had enough of teaching English. I am making it my mission to get out of this field and back into designing. I am thankful for the long vacations but there has to be more than this. I am currently browsing my pictures of my summer and I am so pleased with how things went. I will double my efforts to learn Japanese because that is my only obstacle. I think I need to go to language school intensively because I do not have the will power to study on my own. I have to work and save and then I can concentrate on studying only. It is good to be back though. Tokyo feels like home, especially after I got off the plane. Weird.
