Where is Derek?

Hey yall, a little update about my designs. i am a finalist in 2 out of my 3 designs. I am so excited. One of the potential winners has the makings of an actual client that I will work with for the life of the logo so I am so excited. I am churning out business card designs first to try and seal the deal then possibly I could be commissioned to do the companies corporate identity. Woah! I dont want to get ahead of myself but I am so excited right now. Forget the money, I want the recognition. Well, okay… The money is definitely a plus.

Sorry for not posting lately. I will post my summer vacation pics and videos soon. But first, I am going to get my Japanese drivers license and then a Japanese motorcycle license. My ultimate goal is to get a motocycle in Japan. I will get my license translated and then proceed with schedule a driving test from there I will have te ability to drive a car and a 50cc motorbike. I will then proceed to take classes for the mid sized motorcycle license. I am excited at the posibility to rent a car in Japan an go camping whenever I want or go to Costco and buy a 50kg barrel of pickles.

Besides this update, I have been working on my Japanese again and with Mina’s help, I have made some progress. I plan on starting to silk screen my designs on tshirts in the next weeks. I have narrowed my choice down to three silk screen shops but first I will try and see if I can find affordable silk screening materials so I can print th myself. I have been networking a lot in Tokyo and hopefully all the effort with produce fruit in terms of design work an hopefully a new job. All I really need is to get my Japanes ability up. I know I have been saying this for a long time but I am working on it slowly but surely.
