A friend of mine is making her own fashion label and asked me to illustrate a few of her designs. I have done three rough drafts and wonder what you guys think? I haven’t decided how to illustrate the faces but I like how the general shape has turned out.
Illustration #1

Illustration #2

Illustration #3

What do you think? I think the hairstyles need work. I like the bold quality of #3 but I like the texture of #1, #2 definitely needs work. As for shape, I like #1 and #3 but #2 looks chubby even though the proportions are very close to the actual picture, what do you think?

Hi yall, I have been thinking about summer and India a lot lately and I couldn’t resist designing a logo for my motorcycle. I have drawn a sketch with pen and ink and I will vectorize it. I might put it on a t shirt if it looks good enough.
Here is the first draft. I know the proportions are off and the symbolism isn’t correct but I will work on that. I do like the face and overall dimensions. What do you think?

An update on the Bloom Co. logo, I think it needs a lot more work. Not girly enough.

I can’t stop designing. Once I finish Ganesha, I will do a paper craft of Mina’s birthday illustration and tshirt design.

Hello everyone, it’s been over a month since my last post. I have been busy trying to get enough money to go back home for the holidays but alas, all in vain. I have picked up a second job in the evenings and will put the side money into a separate account so I can DEFINITELY go home for next winter. I have pretty ambitious plans for the upcoming new year. Some of my plans are: so get a motorcycle license, put in a real effort in learning Japanese, finish my pop up book and start designing again. We will see how long the steam lasts.
As of now, I am finishing up wrapping Mina’s Christmas present. I don’t have much money this winter so I just bought Mina a dvd. This is no ordinary DVD btw, it was the Mr. Children concert that I took Mina for her birthday and it so happens that, the day we were watching Mr. Children, they were shooting the DVD. Yeah, our first concert together! But I am presenting it to her in a special way. One of the songs during the concert sounded like they were singing “Yasashi uta, waffle!” So I am making a papercraft of a waffle and inside will be the DVD. I am 80% finished but I realize that my craft need a lot of work. I haven’t worked with my hands in a long time and it feels good to work with them again. Today I put in over 12 hours in designing and building the case.

I was going to make a silk screen of the illustration I gave her but I didn’t have the money. Oh well, it will be a nice birthday present. I will accompany the tshirt with a paper doll of the illustration.
If you want to make the waffle case for a dvd. I am including link to the print file. You should print 4 copies. [ waffle case ]
Merry Christmas.
